Saint-Lazare, also known as Saint-Lazare-de-Vaudreuil, is an off-island suburb of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada in the Regional County Municipality of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. This article describes Saint-Lazare-de-Vaudreuil. There is another, smaller village, named Saint-Lazare-de-Bellechasse that is located on route 279 about 25 miles southeast of Quebec City. The city of Saint-Lazare has experienced rapid growth since 1990, fueled predominantly by the arrival of young, middle-class families.
